Visions for Tomorrow

 Do you or anyone you know have a child or adolescent whose life is affected by a brain disorder?

Education classes will be offered in Kankakee, Illinois at:    Riverside Medical Center

"Visions for Tomorrow" is an educaational course for caregivers of children who have been diagnosed with brain disorders as well as those who exhibit behavior that strongly suggests such a diagnosis.  The Visions curriculum balances educational materials and skills training with self care, emotional support and empowerment.  ADD/ADHD, PDD/Autism, Tourette's Disorder, Conduct Disorder, Bipolar, Depression, Eating Disorders, Obsessive-Compulsive, Schizophrenia, Panic, Anxiety Disorders are a few diagnoses addressed in the curriculum.

There is no charge for the course.  A binder filled with materials will be given to each person taking the classes.  The course has been designed and written by experienced caregivers, family members and professionals and provided as a service by NAMI Kankakee County.  Ongoing support group(s) will be available.

Course starts Wednesday, March 12, 2003 at 7:00 p.m. and will continue for 8 consecuive Wednesday evenings.  The location is Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee, Illinois.  The   Classroom in the Learning Center located in the lower level will be used.
